CommentsI seem to remember the manhattans singing "Reasons" back in the 70s. I was hoping you could either shed light on the matter or inform me as to who else besides Earth Wind And Fire.
Comments"Turn off the Stars" captures the soul of what folks in love gone awry feel but are unable to express. Your song allows the listener in this situation to cry and begin to heal...... Diane http://dianecameronelammozaic.iuma.com

CommentsI have always loved The Manhattans. They have always had a distinctive sound and quality about their music that kept me interested in them. Particularly the solo release's by Gerald Alston that kept traditional Soul and R and B music alive. This group has always maintained the link between the Sam Cooke to modern day music. You fella's have been and will always be men of distinction. Keep doing what you are doing. Darryl
CommentsI have been listening to you since the early 70's and you have only gotten better with time. Your lyrics are timeless and your groove inescapable. You will always be the "Shining Star" in my collection.
CommentsI think you guys are one of the greatest R&B groups that ever lived...I was at the show in East Orange and you sounded great, except for the sound system. It seems the mics was too loud. I had heard songs that I forgotten you sung. IT was a great concert. Michael Bryant
Commentsgreat music these guys made. still listen to their hits. reminds me of my early 70's in the marines. best wishes. would like to see u in vegas or abq someday.
CommentsI am glad that there is a true site for a "true blue" Manhattans fan to gather. I have been a fan since at least 1972 (I was 14 years old and there was this upper crust pretty girl-both of us a little shy) and the song "A million to one" truly told the story. About the same time, the group put out a song entitled along the lines of "Four Corners" that we could do a "mean" slow drag-if any fan remembers that the correct title, please hit me back. I searched everywhere for a copy of the song "A million to one" for over 25 years and I finally found it 2 months ago at Circuit City-it was on the "Love Songs" cd, and it definitely refreshed my memory of my first wanted love. I have attended quite a few concerts of the Manhattans-the first one was in Heidelberg, West Germany in 1979 at Patton Barracks enlisted club and I believed that the last was Raliegh/Durham-1998 during a heck of a rainstorm for Foxy107-the group wore a red ensemble. Amazing concerts on both counts. This new cd_Even now is the bomb-everyone talking about "Turn off the Stars", but "Lovers Lullaby" is the best out of the batch, I think.
Commentsthis goes out first and foremost to blue thanks for your support. also big up to the manhttans for years of good music, at the same time carrying themselves like men, and not doing things like dressing up like they were from guatamala somewhere,or ripping their shirts off and crawling on the floor to sell records. its all about the music.all original and raw, real yeah. 1one.
CommentsManhattans.....what can I say....first of all the person who wrote on 1/17/03 frow worcester,Ma. that wasn't the real Manhattans....my cousin Kevin Odom put that show on, although they did a good job, it was the real one...this manhatten I saw at sculler in boston was great...just moved to Delaware wasnt able to get to boston in the 14th of December as planned...my friend Joe Williams really enjoyed you guys....I just wish these radio stations would play your music.......stay blessed Tiyra Wilmington,De
