I have been a fan for all of my adult life,
and that spans a lot of years. When I hear the first lines of SHINING STAR my
throat tightens up. I think it is the GREATEST song ever
sung. Better than SAVING GRACE, which comes in a very close second. I hear
your songs on XM satellite radio on Soul Street. Thank you for the years of
enjoyment. John R. Chellis

Boa noite!
Hoje eu estou com 45 anos de idade e gosto
do "Manhattans" desde que ouvi pela primeira vez "There's no me whitout you"
em uma festa de aniversário em 1980. Espero que vocês venham para o Brasil
fazer um show em breve.
Um abraço,

Name: Susan Miller Comments: I attended the Investure for Dr. Ervin Griffith and the reception/concert that followed at Halifax Community College. It was absolutely superb. To my surprise I remembered the words to almost every song. My favorite two are kiss and say good-bye and hurt. Thank you for an electrifying performance. My daughter is 11 and upon entering the auditorium one of the usher whispered "old-school." But what she didn't know my daughter enjoys all types of music. She loved it. Thanks again and God Bless. I attended your concert on Saturday,
10-20-07 at The Township Auditorium in Columbia, SC. I am a Benedict College
graduate and this was my 30Th College Reunion. I must say your concert was the
best and highlight of the weekend festivities. I love the way you included
the audience. Have you ever considered giving your special Lady fan flowers
during your concerts ? I know this would only make their night more special.
Your music brought back so many beautiful
memories of my college days. Those were the days when music was truly
music........ May God Continue to Bless all of you.

I am still haunted by your performance in
Kansas City in July. Now I know what it means to speak and sing from the
soul. I took my 17 year old daughter to your show and we were both blown
away. I for one, would like to have the Manhattans come out with a new
single that would hit the Top 40 charts and maybe, just maybe start a trend
toward real singing and meaning. (Come on Blue, you have more in you!) This
is one dad that wishes to thank you for providing my daughter and myself a
truly memorable evening.
Please come back to KC!!!

Just wanted to say you guys were awesome in Augusta, Ga. on Sept.8,2007.
You guys stole the show. Gerald sang "Change Is Gonna Come " and the
people went crazy. You guys were so sharp. The Program Director and Peanut
some of your biggest fans said they have to get that suit you guys had on.
We will never forget that night here in Augusta. It is by far one of if
not the best concerts we have had here. Can't wait til you guys come back
again. See you in Atlanta. Keep up the good work.

Saturday, July 28th at BBKings in New York City. Thank you for again
displaying the CLASS and EXCELLENCE that I have always loved and
respected from the Manhattans. From the days of "When We Were Made as

special place in my heart. As always I am looking forward to that next

How wonderful you gentlemen were I had the most enjoyable
evening listening to you guys. I grew up listening to you from my older
sisters although I am only 40 years old I love old school music the male
groups back in the 60’s and 70’s talked about how much they love a woman and
the heartaches of a relationship today music is just not like that what ever
happen to the male groups who actually sing about love. Well I just wanted to
say that your group is still going strong and I am a very big fan I would love
to see you again in concert. God bless you all.

Greyhound all the way to Raleigh for the Mother's Day concert last weekend.
The ride was horrible, but your show was exceptional! When are we to expect a
new album release? Gerald mentioned some-thing about a new album. Keep me
posted as I have followed the Manhattans for over forty (40) years.

Today you gave an excellent show @ the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC. I brought
my daughter to the show as a Mother's Day present to introduce her to old
school. It was a delight to see the group again. Blue, you looked very well
and as always, the group performance was excellent. Your voice was like a
melody to my ears.
Gerald, what can I say. You are outrageously gifted with a voice that no one
will ever be able to mimic.
Troy and David, you both are good. Troy keeping on smiling!
Thanks Blue for reaching and touching my hand. I was the young lady with the
braids.
I have been listening to your music since the 70's. I am telling my age now.
I have been to so many of your concerts. Each time I come, you guys get better
and better.
I love you guys.

I am a Jersey City girl that have moved to
Greenville, SC and I had to pleasure of seeing you guys the Saturday before
"Mother's Day" at the Bilo Pepsi Pavilion Center and it brought back some
great memories of concerts at Symphony Hall in Newark, Madison Square Garden
in NY to name a few.
Gerald and Blue you guys still have it! You sound
sooooooooooooo goooooooood that I found myself screaming like I was a school
girl.
I am a minister of the gospel but I still enjoy
music especially the ole school. My sister and her husband kept laughing at me
because I got into the music and had a ball going down memory lane. Each time
"Blue" would talk or sing and I could hear how strong and clear his voice
still is, I would scream even more
It was wonderful seeing you guys again and I have to
say whatever you are doing to keep yourselves looking as handsome as all of
you are, please keep on doing it! I hope to see you all in the near future
singing my soul happy as you have done so many times before. Thank "Blue" for
telling us about the website because I told my sister I couldn't wait to get

We went to the 70's Slow Jam just to see The Manhattans. My girl friend and I
was very disappointed when this other group came out being billed as The
Manhattans. I know for sure to check to make sure I see Gearld and Blue name
on the program before buying tickets. You're the best..... God Bless you.

Come on guys break all the rules and come see what we have to offer in the way of hospitality and friendship. Name: Patricia Connelly-Gary Comments: I am sooooooooooo angry. In January, The Detroit Opera House announced the upcoming "70s Soul Jam", with The Manhattans being one of the groups appearing on February 23, 2007.. My family and friends know how much I love this group, but due to recent health problems (heart surgery), I knew money was tight, and I would not be able to see them this time around. Imagine my surprise when my 17 year old grandson presented me with a ticket he purchased with his earnings working as a co-op student. I had mentioned to him that in the 70's and 80's, I NEVER MISSED THEIR SHOW. Imagine my disappointment when "The Manhattans" came on stage without Gerald or Blue. I know time brings about a change in all of us, but my eyesight isn't that bad. One of the singers looked vaguely familiar, I think it might have been Bobby (?). I was very disappointed. They tried to sing the Manhattan hits, but it was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this legal? Can other people just take the name? What about false advertising? Please e-mail me back if the "genuine" Manhattans will be coming to Detroit. I have such fine memories of seeing them at "Henry's Lounge" back in the 70's. Sorry to be soooooooo long winded, but I was really disappointed. Patricia Connelly-Gary
Name: Janice Comments:
I went to the 70's Slow Jam tonight mainly to see the Manhattans. The show
was nice, but needless to say, it was that other group. I was so
disappointed. It's been years since I've seen the group. Diane and I used
to catch the group every time you came to Cleveland. Quite a few people were
under the impression that it was going to be you guys that were
appearing........ What a bust!!!! The key is to look for the billing of
Blue /Gerald & The Manhattans. Again, the show was good - but not the same.
Can't wait to catch the group real soon in the near future.
