I think the site is just what I needed. It seems as though I can actually connect with each of the Manhattans as individuals. However, I would like to make comments toe the entire group "The Manhattans" and I don't find that capability. I believe that other veteran fans would feel the same way because we don't really know one without the other. I love ALL of you together. So I think If I could address the "Manhattans" then that would satisfy my communication needs. Alice Rogers-Johnson

I think your website is great. I have been a fan of your since the 8 or 9 grade. I really enjoy you guys in concert at the Dallas Convention Center. I only wish you would have been the last ones to performed. Too bad the Manhattans couldn't have sung 'Everybody Has a Dream' and 'I Kinda Miss You'. I remember 'Everybody Has a Dream' from being my brother's senior class song in 1978, which is one of your greatest songs that I love. I have always long to 'Dance to a Luv Song' with that someone special. I will continue to buy your music and hope 'The Manhattans' will come to the Dallas' area again to do more than a 45 minutes show, but I will continue to enjoy your concerts even if they're only 30 minutes. God Bless you and your families and good luck with continue to sing love songs.

I went to your show in Dallas Tx. this week and it was a show stopper. (It was the show ). Had it not been for your performance I would have ask for my money back, because of the problem with the sound system, by the way your show in Houston was was also a show stoper. Please inform me of any Texas shows you have in the future.

I loved your show in Dallas!!! As the previous comments indicate, the rest of the lineup was okay but you guys were at least two levels better than all of them. Gerald, Sam Cooke would be proud and I will be looking forward to checking you guys out again in the near future. Keep reminding us what good soul singing is all about. It's a lost art.

I had an opportunity to experience The Manhattans in Dallas during your recent appearance (March 6, 04). I thoroughly enjoyed the show, I was mesmerized by Blue's performance, so much style in his every move. And Gerald was truly sensational bringing the house down with 'A Change is gonna come!' I think The Temptations were the headliners, but in my book, The Manhattans stole the show!

Greetings to "The Manhattans!" I saw your show on Sat. 13 Mar '04 at the Hampton Coliseum, Hampton, VA. and as usual, it was off the hook. Gerald, when you zoned into your songs...I felt like you took me with you. I have followed you music ever since I was a youngster growing up in Jersey City, NJ. and now being an adult, hearing your music and seeing your performances, gives me that nostolgic feeling all over again. I am going to try and follow every one of your performances on the East Coast until I get an autograph. :o) May God continue to Bless you individually and collectively.

I would like to start off by saying, I reallllllly enjoyed your performance in Columbia, SC on Wednesday March 10 of this year. My husband and I have been stationed here for almost three years, and it was the very best show we have seen since our arrival ... and then some. You guys did not miss a beat, whether it was with your steps ... music ... or captivation of the audience. It was also good to see that you believe in some form of exercise ... unless you are just lucky and got it like that. I am looking forward to purchasing your CD. Good luck and May God continue to bless each and everyone of you, as well as keeping the negative influences out of your group and life. If you should ever have the need for a beautiful, unique silk floral arrangement, that has a wonderful fragrance as well ... feel free to email me ... I guarantee ... you will be pleasantly surprised. Valerie

Listening to the sweet sounds of The Manhattan's on my CD player and thought perhaps there was a website. Wow, this is great! I'm so glad they're still together and touring. I noticed they don't get out West too often, but perhaps I can catch them sometime. Truly one of the great groups of all-time -- amazing singing! I'd like to express my dedication as a fan to one the best groups I've ever heard. I have been a fan for over 25 years and I still think Gerald is the best singer I ever heard. There is a part of this group that will live with me forever. I say that for good reason. When I was a young singer myself I had the opportunity along with the guys I sang with to open up for the Manhattans in Milwaukee,Wi back in the 70's. So i feel connected and understand when Gerald sings were ge is coming from. There are five Singers I admire and they are: Gerald Austin, Peabo Bryson, Luther Vandross, Feddie Jackson, and James Ingram. Timeless That's all I can say. Long live The Manhattans forever.

Eventhough the songs are from my parents' generation I was fortunate to be introduced to thar R&B from a very young age, especially the Manhattans. One of my all time favorite R&B groups. I became a huge fan back in the late 70's when I was a young GI in West Berlin Germany and I was fortunate enough to catch you guys in concert. That was the first time I heard songs from your soon to be released "Love Talk" album. Why hasn't this album ever been released on CD? It's not even listed in your discography. Bet you'd sell plenty if only it was released. I just purchased the new CD and you gentlemen are Back! Keep on keeping on.

I like the website. I saw The Manhattans "Live" in Austin, Texas on Sunday, May 30th at the Doubletree Hotel. I am in my 50's & attended with my daughter in her 20's. The audience was an ethnic mix of Black, Hispanic, White. Manhattans...You electrified the audience! Young & old were singing your songs & rocking to your music. We will be sure to see you again!

I was a little girl watching my parents enjoying and having a good time listening to your music and as I got just a little older, I came to enjoy your music also. Your group is a group of when times and life was different. It's a time that made it easier to deal with things. Your music reminds of the good times I had growing up. And as I have gotten a little older your music is what I now listen to and enjoy. Debbie J. Adams

Just think...I almost didn't go! Last night at The Carter Barron in Washington DC (outside in the park!): The Manhattans and Ray Goodman and Brown. RGB opened, and they really put their thing DOWN! They have actually upped their game considerably in last few years. I figured The Manhattans would be pressed to follow them on stage. But you guys really REALLY performed! Outstanding! That was the best time I've had so far this summer! From the choreography, to the harmony, to the untouchable Gerald Austin, it was first class all the way! You guys should open up a school! And to think, I almost didn't go... (Oh yeah..nice website!)

Earlier in the week I went to see a play in D.C. featuring "The Manhattans". They didn't look familiar when they came on stage and when the lead singers started his first note I said "those aren't the Manhattans". I was so disappointed and wanted to know what was going on. Then I saw The Manhattans were going to be at the Carter Baron that Saturday "featuring Gerald Alston and Blue Lovitt". I went out of curiosity and hope. When you guys came out on stage and Gerald hit that first note, I lit up. I said "now these are The Manhattans". You guys turned it out! Thank you so much and don't change a thing!

Every time "The Manhattans featuring Gerald Alston and Blue Lovett" are in concert in the Washington, DC, Metropolitan area,my best friend (Queen) and I always attend your concerts. We have always been fans for many years. We cherish all your songs. It was a dream that came true on June 26, 2004, to see "The Manhattans" as the headliner. It was a beautiful night at the Carter Baron and you all made it even moore special. I'm glad "Blue" cleared up the misunderstanding about the other Manhattans. We have bought tickets on several occassions thinking it was you all but with much disappoinment, it was Sonny's group. Now that we have your website, we can pull up your schedules. Thank you all for the wonderful memories. Today's generation do not make great music like you all. I (Michelle)only have one request. It would be wonderful if you all would sing (I KINDA MISS YOU). I have never heard you all sing my song yet in concert. We are most pleased to have finally met each and everyone of you on June 26, 2004, at the Carter Baron, and look forward to see The Mahanttans featuring Gerald Alston and Blue Lovett" along with Troy and Tyson in the near future. I HAD AND OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THE "MANHATTANS" NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN YOU ALL VISITED THE WASHINGTON DC, MD AND VA AREA. MY GOOD FRIEND (MICHELLE) AND I RUSHED TO PURCHASE FRONT ROLL SEAT TICKETS FOR THE MARCH 18TH, 2004 SHOW AT THE SHOW PLACE ARENA, ONLY TO LEARN THAT IT WAS NOT FEATURING GERALD ALSTON AND BLUE LOVETT. MY BEST FRIEND AND I WERE TRUELY UP TIGHT AND DEMANDED TO SPEAK WITH THE PROMOTER. AFTER LOCATING THE PROMOTER DEBBI EWING WHO DILIGENTLY EXPLAINED THAT IN ORDER TO SEE THE "MANHATTANS" FEATURING GERALD ALSTON AND BLUE LOVETT, THE ADVERTISMENT SHOULD SAY "THE MANHATTANS FEATURING GERALD ALSTON AND BLUE LOVETT". NOW THAT I KNOW THIS, I FIND MYSELF EXPLAINING THIS TO SOME OTHER FANS. I'M NOT SAYING THAT SUNNY'S GROUP DON'T DO A GREAT JOB BUT "THE MANHATTANS FEATURING GERALD ALSTON, BLUE LOVETT, TROY MAY AND DAVID TYSON TRUELY (AND I STRESS) BRING TEARS TO MY EYES. YOU ALL PUT SO MUCH FEELING INTO YOUR MUSIC. YOU ALL LOOK GREAT! AND I ONLY WISH YOU CONTINUED SUCCESS AND BLESSINGS. SEE YOU ON YOUR NEXT VISITS TO THE WASHINGTON DC METROPOLITAN AREA.

I just want to say, I have been listening to the Manhattans for the past 39 plus years. I have had the pleasure of seeing the group perform several times, and last year (September) I got to meet the group and they were just as nice as every day people or nicer. I want to congratulate Gerald and his lovely wife on their 22nd Wedding Anniversary. My husband and I are looking forward to listening and seeing the Manhattans perform for 40 plus years to come. Also, this past Saturday, June 26th we try to fine the tee shirts and photos, after the show to buy -- but were unable to fine them. If you have a web site that we can order from, please let us know. Thank you so much for all the hard work and dedication you all have shown us - your public. We love and wish you all only the best for years to come. God Bless

Saturday, June 26, 2004, was another unforgettable evening of elegance with Ray, Goodman, and Brown, but especially THE MANHATTANS! I was truly blessed with your presence and the singing of my favorite song--old and new. I love you, and and it is my hope that you continue to uplift and enlighten us with your music. You are soooo down-to-earth and you know your fans LOVE it! Though I wish them well, Sonny and his group could never be THE MANHATTANS that you are today. I can say when I went to the show in Austin Tx, on May 30,2004 I was flawed!! by the performance. The show was off the hook!!! I have only been to concerts of R&B artist of today's time.I must drop the bomb and say that they have nothing on yall. Keep up the superior performances and every time the Manhattan's come my way I shall attend. Gerald you did the thing on "Let's Just Kiss And Say Goodbye". The songs your group sang truly brought back memories to me. Thank you for continuing on in the business and singing the songs you do. God bless and keep you.

I attended the show at the Apparel Mart in Dallas, Texas on August 21,2004. It was sponsored by the Urban League of Greater Dallas. As soon as I heard you were going to perform I knew I would be there no matter what or what the cost. You are GREAT Performers and I love to watch you. Gerald I have your first three single cd's and could not wait after the show to get home to put them on my cd player. After viewing the website I learned that you had a forth. Thanks again for a great night of entertainment.

I loved browsing the website. I saw you guys at the Apparel Mart in Dallas, Texas. You were "GREAT" I also saw you in March at the Convention Center with other groups. But, this time you had time to do a longer and better show. I teach eight graders and as the kids say, "You were off th chain." Thanks for the "GOOD TIMES."

Hi Guys. I caught your show at 20 Grand in Atlanta. As with most on this website, I have been a lifelong fan and have been to many of your concerts. Although I love your old songs, I think it's time you guys started performing the songs from your latest CD. All the songs on "Even Now" are great. I would love to hear Gerald & Blue do "Can You Take It" live. I am definitely going to call the stations to have them play more of your music. There are too many mediocre groups out there that get too much air time. It's time for quality music to get back on the air. I look forward to another fabulous concert soon.

I met the Manhattans in 1973 behind stage at Wilberforce University in Ohio. I still remember each member (Gerald, Kenneth, Sonny, & Blue) wearing a different color suit and I still have the autographs each member gave me in a picture frame and oicture of the group. I became reacquainted with Gerald and Blue in Sacramento, and showed them the autographs they gave me in 1973. They were amazed I still have them. I'm 52 now, and still very much a Manhattan fa. Hey fellas, I'm avaliable for an audition!!!

After the Dallas show I purchased the EVEN NOW CD and played 'Turn Out The Stars' repeatly. I had to purchase the CD again last week b/c someone helped themselves to my other one. I will guard this one with my life. Turn Out The Stars will be a classic.

Hi my name is Nikki from Boston, Massachusetts, Gerald, I have two words for you- Super Star ! I thank my mother for playing the manhattans album constantly when I was growing up. It's like history repeating it self because now at the age of 33 I'm constantly playing the Manhattans. I must say this is good music that a young lady like me can appreciate it. Also, You guys did a wonderful job at scullers jazz club last weekend . I must admit that I've only seen you perform 4 times and each time it gets better & better . Gerald, I must say personally to you that your voice is beautiful. Everytime I hear you sing it brings a smile to my face and chills to my body . I must say you guys have left an indelible impression on me. Keep up the great performances! Can't wait to see u again in Boston. PS: Much love to your Band for keeping it together.

Saw you guys at Westbury and you are just as great as when I saw you in '76 at Forest hills. I am with the oldies group The Clusters 1958 "Darling Can't You Tell" I love your style and songs. We are doing your version of "Hurt" and "Kiss and Say Goodbye" although nothing can compare with your original version. If you have time, come visit our web site at www.Clusters.homestead.com and sign our guest book. Best wishes to all the group....Paulie

This message is for one of the founding members of the Manhattans, Kenny Kelly: You and I dated about 40 years ago, so I doubt that you remember me, but I will try to jog your memory. I am from Oakland, California, but I think we were introduced by one of your old friends from Jersey City, Carlotta or Les, I don't recall which. When I came to New York City in 1965 to attend NYC, you picked me up from the airport, eventhough I had missed my flight and had to arrive at a different airport. You were living with Blue at the time. One night a bunch of us piled into a car and drove for what seemed like hours to a theater somewhere in a remote section of New Jersey where you and the other Manhattans were performing in a revue that also included Bobby Blue Bland. He was really stoned and barely able to sing. The last time I saw was in Washington Square Park, where you and The Manhattans were giving a free concert. I recently attended a Mahattans concert at Scullers in Boston. You weren't there with that huge smile of yours. After their performance I asked Blue about you. He said you are doing very well. That was great news. Though you are no longer singing with the group, you must be pleased to have made an important contribution to their success. Best wishes to you. I hope that your life has been full of joy and peace. With fond memories, Bettye (Wilson) Kearse
