I attended your show in Austin, Texas on Sunday, July 13, 2003. It was simply awesome!!!!!!! I have attended a lot of shows however, I have not seen a show put together like this one. My prayer is that God will continue to bless and keep you and keep on singing.

Hey Gerald. It's your cous from Franklinton/Henderson North Caroline. When I hear you sing, I say to my friends "That my cousin Gerald"! My Grandma Lena Alston is our connection. I tried connecting with you through your undertaker friend here in Baltimore. Keep on singing! Your voice is as fresh as ever. I love singing along with you while working at my PC. Martha Edgerton (Alston)
I went to your concert on July 20, 2003 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Needless to say, what music! Please come back!
The show in San Diego was off the hook! The class, professionalism, and just raw sex appeal was displayed on Wednesday night at Humphrey's By The Bay. The guys are currently on tour with the 70's Soul Jam Tour, and they performed immediately before the headliners. Gerald gave them all he had,and more! As my mother put it, "He tore it up!" When he does "A Change is Gonna Come", I don't know who's not overcome with emotion! At the end of their performance, Gerald showed the power in his voice by singing without the mike, and sending the audience into a frenzy! My heart almost stopped! To the band, as always, I love you all. Justice, you kill those drums! Keep rockin' those songs. A special thank you goes out to Vera, from the Soul Jam Tour Co., for taking photos of the guys backstage for our fan club. You're the Best!
YOU GUYS PUT ON A GREAT SHOW OUT HERE IN HAWAII. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL SOON IN THE NEAR FUTURE. ALOHA
I enjoyed your July 25th concert in Sacramento, California. I have been a fan since Gerald joined the group. I love Gerald's solo albums, please include some selections in the group's performances. Looking forward to seeing you again in Sacramento. Take Care A loyal fan Pat
I SAW YOU IN LA YOU GUYS ARE GREAT CAN'T WAIT UNTIL YOU RETURN.
I attended your show in Los Angeles, at the Universal Amphitheater. I must say that you all stole the show, not leaving much room for anyone else to do their thing. I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank you for the CD, it is truely amazing.
I remember when we use to tell Troy to be quiet because he made the dogs howl when he tried to sing. I guess practice do make perfect! keep up the great work lil' bro. My wife and I has always been your biggest fans. See you after the tour. Aloha, peace & love Always, Ray, Bernie, and the girls
Caught your show at the Universal in Los Angeles with two other couples and we all agreed that your performance was the most outstanding in the line up. I really enjoyed your tribute to Sam Cooke too. Your music has been part of my collection for years. However, this is the very first time I've seen you perform. Thank you for still being here for us to enjoy.
I attended the 70's Concert in Los Angeles on 7/26/03. I, as well as everyone in attendance, thoroughly enjoyed your performance. You all are the CONSUMMATE performers. It's so very refreshing to attend a concert and feel that you have been totally entertained!!!!! Good luck in all your endeavors. Beverly Zackery
I attended the free concert at Wingate Field in Brooklyn, NY last night. You guys blew me away. Gerald I just don't know what to say. I grew up listening to the Manhattans, fell in love for the first time listening to your music. You might be old school but could teach the new jacks a lesson or two. Blue, Kiss and Say Goodbye is one of my favorite songs, your voice makes me feel every word of the song. God Bless you all, and thanks for coming to Brooklyn and cheering us up.
OH MY GOD!!!!The show at Wingate Field in Brooklyn last night left me speechless, frenzied and oh so spent. There are no words to describe your classy, smooth and professional show. I've never seen such sex appeal exuded in such an understated way - Geral Austin, you truly are a "Quiet Storm" and though I live in NYC now, you make me proud to be a "Tar Heel".
Two words: Simply Lovely. To The Manhattans, You have entertained my world since the 1970`s, Thanks so much for all the shocks to my heart. Your sounds are electric. Love from a life time Fan! Anita Love You, and keep on. See You at Fredom Hall in Louisville.
The 2 shows in Boston at Scullers Jazz Club were just awesome on Friday night(8/1/03)! The guys looked so pretty in their red suits for the first show. The club is a small, intimate venue, and the place was pretty packed for both shows. The second show, they came out in navy blue suits, and white shiny shirts. They looked and sounded wonderful. The band, as always, made the group sound great. I liked the second show better than first, because it seemed that they just let loose for the last performance. Looking forward to tonight's performances. Hope to have photos posted to the fan club site by next week.
it´s a real pleasure to get information about you, but I was looking Kiss & Say Goodbye´s Anyway, I enjoy visit the site. Good Look, forever Yesy

I attended both of your shows at the House of Comedy. Looking forward to seeing you again. You are absolutely the most down to earth entainers I have ever encounters. Keep doing what you're doing.
When Old School was new, the music and style of The MANHATTANS provided the blue print that so many Brothers needed in order to shape their lives, and enhance their future. Amazingly, now that Old School is no longer new, the value of "style" and "class" which was so prominent then remains just as prominent today. Thank you MANHATTANS for all you are, all you've done. Your inspiration has and always will be one of my guiding stars. Peace to you my Brothers.
I have been keeping up with you guys since the 70's. When you came to Baltimore, Maryland I was at every show. The Carosell Night Club, Mother Lowe's Wild Cherry and I even followed you all to Washington DC The Lowe's Theater. When you all were on break you would come around to the tables and speak to everyone and asked how they were enjoying the show? You even sat at my table one night. I will never forget that and also after one of your shows in Baltimore I ran into Ricky Taylor at the White Castle on the corner. He said he was sick at that time and that's the last time I saw him. Good luck guys Blue stay cool. Love Always, Danielle.
Manhattans, especially Blue. I've enjoyed your music since the group started. It gives me great pleasure and joy to be a big fan and once Blue's pesky little neighbor. :-) Continue to do well guys. Ande
Hello Gerald, I have met you a few times over the years at your concerts and once you were on my flight ( I fly for United Airlines). Thank you so much for keeping Sam Cooke alive through your voice. He is my favorite singer next to you. You were truly blessed with a beautiful voice. Thank you Blue for keeping the group alive all these years, and I try not to miss a concert no matter where you are performing. Thanks for the new released CD. The show in Sacramento, Ca was fantastic because it was a small venue and I was sitting up close to the stage. Thanks again and I love the web site!
IT HAS BEEN YEARS SINCE I HAVE SEEN ONE OF YOUR SHOWS (WHICH I WOULD LOVE TO DO). HOWEVER, I STILL LISTEN TO ALL YOUR MUSIC. I HAVE YOUR CD'S AND TAPES FROM WAY BACK. AND I LIKE YOUR LATEST MUSIC. Hello. You, the Manhattans have been my favorite group from the early seventies. I believe I have almost every song you've done. My sons which were born in '71 and '72 grew up listening to your music. Whenever your songs came on the radio they said, "Mama those are your boys." Your music makes one think of love even when you aren't in love. Enjoyed seeing Gerald & Blue at Kenny's in Savannah 8/5/03. ...Even Now... is a masterpiece. You've Never Left! Edvena

My sentiments are with everyone else's on this site. I may not be old skool but I just L-O-V-E your music. Your songs are played all of the time. I too agree that one if not two or three songs will be played at my wedding. Your music TOUCHES MY SOUL. Todays newcomers don't do that for me, not R.Kelly or anyone else. Caught your show in Hampton, VA a couple of times. Drove all the way down from New York City. By the way, I feel neglected. When are you coming to NYC? God blessd you all and keep on SINGING. Andrea R in New York City

You guys are great. What happened to that fine bass player from DC? Look forward to seeing him with you guys the next time you are in town.
Fellows! I a fan...I have collected The Manhattans for the better part of my youth up to now. I have never come accross a music group that atches the exellence, superiority and soulfulness of The Manhattans. however, I have not been able to fulfill my desire to collect all the music ofthe group - largely because I am a South African. The Manhattans are available in not so many South African music shops, which makes it very difficults to collect. It is even more difficult to find The Manhattans - since I moved to the UK where one can easily get 'The Collection' and other recently produced music. It would be nice to get albums such as 'Forever By Your Side', 'Back To Basics' and 'Love Talk'. for decades, TheManhattans have brightened many people's hearts and hope they'll continue to do so... God Bless...
Hi, certainly was nice speaking to you today. May God continue to bless and keep all of you in His loving care. Shalom, Your beloved friends, T & Gwen

Words can't describe the feeling after attending a show when the "Manhattans" are performing. I truly enjoyed the show along with Lakeside and Bobby Womack but I enjoyed you guys much more. The style, the harmony, the feeling in every song. Keep on doing what you are doing. Gerald, you unique!

I've been a loyal fan since the 1970's. I was disappointed when the tour didn't come to Houston, Texas the summer of 2003. I do hope consideration will be made to add Houston again to the tour season for the year 2004. I really enjoy the group. Keep us the good work and continue giving us the love songs we've come to enjoy. Claudene Greenwood Houston, Texas
